A surgical bag device (10) is provided. The device includes a surgical bag (100) with a pocket (101) at the open top (102) and elongate biasing member (90) disposed in conjunction with the pocket and translatable between a first open position where the biasing member extends through a substantial portion of a circumference of the pocket, to a second closed position. An elongate push rod (30) with a distal end portion is fixed to the biasing member and an opposite proximal end portion operatively engaged with a movable plunger (70) within a housing. The push rod is translatable as urged by the plunger between a distal position extending the biasing member into the pocket and a proximal position withdrawing the biasing member from the pocket. The push rod comprises a plurality of longitudinally spaced teeth (36) disposed thereon, which are meshingly engagable with a plurality of teeth from a corresponding first set of teeth (54) of a pinion gear (50). L'invention concerne un dispositif de poche chirurgicale (10). Le dispositif comprend une poche chirurgicale (100) avec une pochette (101) à l'extrémité ouverte (102) et un élément de sollicitation (90) allongé disposé en combinaison avec la pochette et qui peut effectuer une translation entre une première position ouverte dans laquelle l'élément de sollicitation s'étend à travers une portion substantielle d'une circonférence de la pochette et une seconde position fermée. La tige poussoir peut effectuer une translation lorsqu'elle est forcée par le piston entre une position distale étendant l'élément de sollicitation dans la pochette et une extrémité proximale retirant l'élément de sollicitation de la pochette. La tige poussoir comprend une pluralité de dents (36) espacées longitudinalement qui sont placées dessus, qui peuvent s'engrener avec une pluralité de dents d'un premier ensemble correspondant de dents (54) d'un pignon d'engrenage.
