La présente invention concerne des procédés permettant de prévenir, améliorer ou réduire les signes dermatologiques du vieillissement qui utilisent des principes actifs modulant l'enzyme PLOD-2 dans la peau. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de cribler des substances qui modulent les taux d'enzyme PLOD-2 et les procédés d'utilisation de principes actifs identifiés par le protocole de criblage dans le traitement de la peau.
