The present invention refers to a stable pharmaceutical composition of Sodium oxybate or free base thereof. The invention relates to pharmaceutical composition of sodium oxybate comprising sodium oxybate and one or more preservative(s) and optionally other pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. Such compositions control the level of sodium oxybate impurities along with other impurities formed due to sodium oxybate over the storage period. The invention also includes process of preparing such composition. La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique stable d'oxybate de sodium ou une base libre de celle-ci. L'invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique d'oxybate de sodium, comprenant de l'oxybate de sodium et un ou plusieurs conservateur(s) et éventuellement d'autres excipients pharmaceutiquement acceptables. De telles compositions régulent le taux d'impuretés d'oxybate de sodium ainsi que d'autres impuretés formées dues à l'oxybate de sodium au cours de la période de conservation.
