A liquid fuel composition comprising: (a) a diesel base fuel suitable for use in an internal combustion engine; (b) one or more organic sunscreen compounds. The liquid fuel composition of the present invention provides benefits in terms of power output of a diesel engine, and modifying the ignition delay and/or modifying the burn period and/or increasing the cetane number of the liquid fuel composition. La présente invention concerne une composition de carburant liquide comprenant : (a) un carburant diesel de base adapté pour utilisation dans un moteur à combustion interne ; (b) un ou plusieurs composés d'écran solaire organiques. La composition de carburant liquide de la présente invention présente des avantages en termes de puissance de sortie d'un moteur diesel, et de modification du retard à l'allumage et/ou de modification de la période de combustion et/ou d'augmentation de l'indice de cétane de la composition de carburant liquide.
