A process for producing olefins from oxygenates comprises the following steps: (i) heterogeneously catalyzed conversion of at least one oxygenate to an entire stream containing liquid and gaseous organic compounds and water, and (ii) separating the entire stream in a first separating means into a fraction containing at least 90 vol-% of the gaseous organic compounds of the entire stream, into a fraction containing at least 90 wt-% of the liquid organic compounds of the entire stream, and into a fraction containing at least 90 wt-% of the water of the entire stream. La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'oléfines à partir d'oxygénats qui comprend les étapes suivantes : (i) conversion catalysée de façon hétérogène d'au moins un oxygénat en flux total contenant des composés organiques liquides et gazeux, et (ii) séparation du flux total dans des premiers moyens de séparation en une fraction contenant au moins 90 % en volume des composés organiques gazeux du flux total, en une fraction contenant au moins 90 % en poids des composés organiques liquides du flux total, et en une fraction contenant au moins 90 % en poids de l'eau du flux total.
