Summary: | The present invention relates to a thorium-doped garnet-based phosphor and to a light-emitting device using same. Specifically, the present invention uses thorium as an active agent and thus provides a garnet-based phosphor having optical properties and thermal stability which is superior to that of a typical garnet phosphor using a cerium active agent, and provides a light-emitting device using the garnet-based phosphor as a light source.
