The present invention relates to a method for selecting a lighting device (414). It enables a user to make this selection based on first selecting a lighting effect. The user selects a scene 410 and a lighting effect after which an image is displayed 410 comprising the selected lighting effect applied to the selected scene. The user can then select a lighting device design (406 408) that provides a lighting effect similar or equal to the selected lighting effect. The invention includes a system and computer program product for implementation of this method. La présente invention concerne un procédé pour sélectionner un dispositif d'éclairage (414). Elle permet à un utilisateur de réaliser cette sélection sur la base tout d'abord de la sélection d'un effet d'éclairage.
