Summary:Provided is a perforated structural body that has high mechanical strength and that is unlikely to bend or break during handling. The perforated structural body (1) is used when irradiating an object to be measured with electromagnetic waves in order to measure the characteristics of said object and comprises a first main surface (2a) and a second main surface (2b) that faces the first main surface (2a). A plurality of perforations (2c) are provided to a perforated plate (2) and pass through from the first main surface (2a) toward the second main surface (2b). Support substrates (3, 4) comprising openings or cutout sections that expose at least one of the perforations (2c) are layered on the first main surface (2a) and/or the second main surface (2b) of the perforated plate (2).
