The performance of the separator for a lithium ion cell is such that internal resistance is low, pinholing and flaking is minimal, and current leakage is small. L'invention concerne un séparateur pour une pile lithium-ion, le séparateur comprenant au moins un corps poreux principalement constitué de particules inorganiques, le séparateur étant caractérisé en ce que les particules organiques sont de configuration amorphe. La performance du séparateur pour une pile lithium-ion est telle que la résistance interne est basse, les trous d'épingles et l'écaillage sont minimaux, et la fuite de courant est faible.
