The present invention relates to a vaccine composition for preventing staphylococcus aureus infection containing, as an active ingredient, a ribitol-phosphate which has been modified only by a beta-configuration in N-Acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc), a repeating unit of the ribitol-phosphate, or a wall teichoic acid (WTA) containing the repeating unit. The composition according to the present invention contains a coupling motif (an epitope) for an anti-WTA antibody, and thus can be effectively used as a vaccine composition or to prevent staphylococcus aureus infection by generating anti-WTA antibody. La présente invention concerne une composition de vaccin pour prévenir une infection par Staphylococcus aureus contenant, comme principe actif, un ribitol-phosphate qui a été modifié seulement par une configuration beta dans la N-acétylglucosamine (GlcNAc), une unité répétitive du ribitol-phosphate, ou un acide téichoïque de paroi (WTA) contenant l'unité répétitive. La composition selon la présente invention contient un motif de couplage (un épitope) pour un anticorps anti-WTA, et ainsi peut être utilisée efficacement comme composition de vaccin ou pour prévenir une infection par Staphylococcus aureus par la génération d'anticorps anti-WTA.
