The present invention relates to a novel compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof exhibiting antibacterial activity, an extract comprising the compound from a Penicillium sp. strain, a fraction of the extract, an antibacterial composition comprising the compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient, a pharmaceutical composition for treating food poisoning, a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating pyogenic infection, a method of treating food poisoning or pyogenic infection comprising a step of administering the composition, a composition for suppressing the activity of FabI which is an enoyl-ACP reductase, and a method of preparing the compound. The compound of the present invention can be widely used for the development of a medicine to treat food poisoning and pyogenic infection, since the compound exhibits the antibacterial activity of suppressing the growth of Bacillus and Staphylococcus aureus, which cause food poisoning or pyogenic infection, by suppressing the activity of enoyl-ACP reductase. La présente invention concerne un nouveau composé antibactérien ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci présentant une activité antibactérienne, un extrait comprenant le composé d'une souche de Penicillium sp., une fraction de l'extrait, une composition antibactérienne comprenant le composé ou le sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci en tant que principe actif, une composition pharmaceutique destinée au traitement d'une intoxication alimentaire, une composition pharmaceutique destinée à la prévention ou au traitement d'une infection pyogène, un procédé de traitement d'une intoxication alimentaire ou d'une infection pyogène comprenant une étape d'administration de la composition, une composition destinée à supprimer l'activité de FabI qui est une énoyl-ACP réductase, et un procédé de préparation du composé. Le composé de la présente invention peut être largement utilisé pour la mise au point d'un médicament destiné au traitement d'une intoxication alimentaire et une infection pyogène, étant donné qu'il présente l'activité antibactérienne de suppression de la croissance de Bacillus et Staphylococcus aureus, responsables d'une intoxication alimentaire ou d'une infection pyogène, par suppression de l'activité de l'énoyl-ACP réductase.
