Summary:Provided is a polyester composite fiber which has a high reflectance at the wavelengths of infrared rays (e.g., 800-3,000 nm) that are readily converted to heat energy and which has coloration comparable to that of conventional polyester fibers. The polyester composite fiber is a core/sheath type composite fiber in which the core component is a thermoplastic polymer that contains 8-70 wt% sunlight-shielding substance having an average particle diameter of 0.5 µm or smaller, the sheath component is a polyester polymer containing 0.5-10 wt% heat-shielding fine particles that have an average particle diameter of 0.1 µm or smaller, are smaller than the sunlight-shielding substance, and can maintain the coloration, and the mass ratio of the core component to the sheath component is 10:90 to 30:70. L'invention concerne une fibre composite polyester présentant un facteur de réflexion élevé au niveau des longueurs d'onde de rayons infrarouge (par exemple, 800-3 000 nm) facilement converties en énergie calorifique et présentant une coloration comparable à celle des fibres polyester classiques. La fibre composite polyester est une fibre composite du type âme/gaine dans laquelle le composant de l'âme est un polymère thermoplastique contenant 8-70 % en masse de substance de protection solaire présentant un diamètre de particule moyen inférieur ou égal à 0,5 µm, le composant de la gaine est un polymère polyester contenant 0,5-10 % en masse de fines particules de protection contre la chaleur présentant un diamètre particule moyen inférieur ou égal à 0,1 µm, inférieures à la substance de protection solaire et pouvant maintenir la coloration, et le rapport de masse du composant de l'âme au composant de la gaine est 10:90 à 30:70.
