Summary:Machine memory fragmentation in a computer system having a host operating system and virtual machine running on a hypervisor hosted by the host operating system is reduced by having the hypervisor identify and release those machine memory pages that are more likely than others to reduce the fragmented state of the host machine memory. Selon l'invention, la fragmentation de mémoire machine dans un système informatique ayant un système d'exploitation hôte et une machine virtuelle fonctionnant sur un hyperviseur hébergé par le système d'exploitation hôte est diminuée par le fait que l'hyperviseur identifie et libère les pages de mémoire machine qui sont plus susceptibles que d'autres de diminuer l'état fragmenté de la mémoire machine de l'hôte.
