L'invention concerne un procédé qui consiste à afficher des informations associées à une application sur un dispositif électronique, fournir une notification visuelle d'une communication reçue et détecter un geste. En réponse à la détection du geste, une première partie d'une boîte de réception est affichée tout en réduisant l'affichage des informations, ce qui consiste à afficher au moins partiellement des informations associées à la communication reçue. Sur la base d'une caractéristique du geste, la fourniture de la notification visuelle est interrompue.
