The invention relates to an air-intake system (10) for a motor vehicle (1), which includes a cowl (12) including a water-drainage system (13), said drainage system (13) including at least two side channels, each side channel (14) extending from an upstream end (16), through which the side channel (14) is in communication with an air inlet (11), to a downstream end (17), via which the secondary channel (14) leads onto a rear edge (18) of the cowl (12), wherein each side channel (14) is shaped as a baffle, and the downstream end (17) is transversely offset relative to the upstream end (16).
