The present invention relates to a used car transaction system and a used car transaction method in which a purchaser purchases a used car of a seller after renting and testing the used car of the seller. The used car transaction system according to the present invention includes a used car transaction server, comprising: a car rental application unit which receives a car rental application from a purchaser terminal, and transmits the rental application information of the purchaser to a seller terminal so as to obtain approval for the rental; a car rental fee payment unit which calculates a car rental fee in consideration of the type, model, and rental period or mileage of the car to be rented, and process the payment for the car rental fee of the purchaser; and a counterpart information provision unit which intermediates the transaction for the car rental by providing counterpart information between the seller and the purchaser after the car rental fee is paid. The present invention provides a rental service for purchasers wanting to purchase used cars, to enable the purchasers to directly evaluate the performance of the cars.
