L'invention concerne un procédé et dispositif permettant de neutraliser de manière temporaire un sujet pendant une période prolongée par application à ce sujet en premier lieu d'une forme d'onde électrique pulsée continue en vue de le neutraliser, puis par application audit sujet d'une seconde forme d'onde électrique pulsée par intermittence, ce qui maintient en toute sécurité la neutralisation du sujet par une respiration forcée.
