The present invention relates to an LED driving device and a method for driving an LED by using same. According to one aspect of the present invention, an LED driving device includes: a light source unit including first to nth LED groups sequentially connected in series; first to nth input terminals respectively connected to output terminals of the first to nth LED groups; and a driving control unit for controlling each of first to nth input currents through first to nth current detect signals generated by reflecting the first to nth input currents, which are inputted to the first to nth input terminals, at a predetermined ratio.
