A backlight module and a liquid crystal display thereof are provided, wherein the backlight module comprises a back plate (20), a light guide plate (40), a PCB plate (30), a plurality of LEDs (50) and at least one elastic clamping member (10). The back plate (20) comprises a bottom plate (201) and at least one side wall (202), the light guide plate (40) is positioned on the bottom plate (201), the PCB plate (30) is provided on the side wall (202) corresponding to the light guide plate (40), and the plurality of LEDs (50) are provided on the PCB plate (30). The at least one elastic clamping member (10) orderly passes through the back plate (20) and the PCB plate (30) so as to fix the back plate (20) and the PCB plate (30), and the top of the elastic clamping member (10) is higher than the LED surface. The backlight module and the liquid crystal display thereof are simple in structure, convenient to assemble, and cheap in cost.
