In this liquid-crystal display device, the angle, with respect to a reference direction, of a first direction in which a first slit (91B) extends is less than or equal to that of a first director direction; the angle, with respect to the reference direction, of a second direction in which a second slit (90A) extends is greater than or equal to that of a second director direction; and the angle between the second direction and the second director direction is larger than the angle between the first direction and the first director direction.
