The material has a dimensional thickness that is greater than a minimum detonation thickness of the material. L'invention porte sur un système de blindage pour protéger un véhicule d'un projectile, le projectile ayant une trajectoire attendue. Le système de blindage a un matériau susceptible d'être déclenché et configuré pour conserver sensiblement une forme, le matériau conduisant une surface extérieure du véhicule par rapport à la trajectoire de projectile prévue. Le matériau a une épaisseur qui est de dimension supérieure à une épaisseur minimale de détonation de la matière.
