La présente invention a pour objet un agent thérapeutique ou prophylactique contre une infection grippale, dont le mécanisme de fonctionnement est de surmonter efficacement une déplétion en ATP, ledit agent comprenant du dichloroacétate de diisopropylamine (DADA), du DADA et de l'acide gluconique ou son sel, ou du DADA, de l'acide gluconique ou son sel et un composé de la vitamine B1.
