The methods involve the use of a tint component comprising a first non-ammonia alkalising agent, an oxidizing component and a third component comprising a second non-ammonia alkalizing agent. The compositions may comprise little or no ammonia. L'invention concerne des procédés qui fournissent, à la discrétion de l'utilisateur, au moins deux compositions différentes de coloration capillaire oxydantes permettant différents niveaux de rehaussement de la teinte sur la base d'un composant unique de teinture. Les procédés entraînent l'utilisation d'un composant de teinture qui comporte un premier agent alcalisant non ammoniac, un composant oxydant et un troisième composant comportant un second agent alcalisant non ammoniac. Les composés peuvent comporter peu ou pas d'ammoniac.
