Summary:A cover of a refrigerator island (1) comprises on one side a first proximal panel (40a) and a second distal panel (40b) positioned alongside the first, sliding transversally, and on the side transversally opposite a further proximal panel (40c) and a further distal panel (40d) transversally placed alongside the further proximal panel, they too also sliding transversally. The proximal panel and the distal panel form a telescopic system reciprocally engaging each other on opening and closing and in the terminal regional next to the centreline of the tub of the island, the distal panel (40b) of one side and the distal panel of the other side (40d) have an area in which they surmount each other, sliding on overlapping tracks. La présente invention a trait à un couvercle d'îlot de réfrigérateur (1) qui comprend sur un côté un premier panneau proximal (40a) et un second panneau distal (40b) qui est placé le long du premier, lesquels panneaux coulissent transversalement, et sur un côté transversalement opposé un autre panneau proximal (40c) et un autre panneau distal (40d) qui est transversalement placé le long de l'autre panneau proximal, lesquels deux panneaux coulissent également transversalement. Le panneau proximal et le panneau distal forment un système télescopique se mettant en prise de façon réciproque l'un avec l'autre lors de l'ouverture et de la fermeture et dans la zone terminale à proximité de l'axe de la cuve de l'îlot, le panneau distal (40b) d'un côté et le panneau distal de l'autre côté (40d) étant doté d'une surface où ils sont surmontés l'un sur l'autre, et coulissant sur des pistes chevauchantes.
