The present invention provides novel packaging articles, e.g., food and beverage cans, having a novel coating composition applied to at least a portion of a surface thereon. In preferred embodiments, the coating composition includes at least a film-forming amount of a copolyester resin having a backbone that includes one or more soft segments and a plurality of hard segments. The copolyester resin preferably has a glass transition temperature from about from about 10°C to about 50°C. The present invention also provides a method for making coated articles. La présente invention concerne de nouveaux articles d'emballage, par exemple des boîtes pour aliments et boissons, comprenant une nouvelle composition de revêtement appliquée sur au moins une partie de leur surface. Dans les modes de réalisation préférés, la composition de revêtement contient au moins une quantité filmogène d'une résine de copolyester possédant un squelette contenant un ou plusieurs segments souples et une pluralité de segments durs. De préférence, la température de transition vitreuse de la résine de copolyester est comprise entre environ 10 °C et environ 50 °C. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de préparation d'articles revêtus.
