A sanitary napkin is disclosed as a form of disposable absorbent article. It has an absorbent core and a hydrophobic topsheet that has an upper side that is to be worn against a user's body. The topsheet is selected from a group of nonwoven topsheets and apertured film topsheets. A trace amount of a fibrous superabsorbent material, in the range of 0.30 and 3.5 grams of superabsorbent material per square meter, is provided in a fibrous matrix in a secondary topsheet that is in intimate contact with the lower side of the topsheet. The fibrous matrix is made by airlaying the superabsorbent material with cellulose and bi-component fiber onto a non-woven carrier. L'invention concerne une serviette hygiénique sous forme d'article absorbant jetable. Cette serviette hygiénique comprend une partie centrale absorbante et un voile supérieur hydrophobe comportant un bord supérieur portant contre le corps de l'utilisateur. Le voile supérieur est sélectionné dans un groupe de voiles supérieurs non tissés et de voiles supérieurs perforés. Une quantité très faible d'un matériau super-absorbant fibreux dans une plage de 0,30 à 3,5 grammes dudit matériau par mètre carré est fournie sous forme d'une matrice dans une feuille secondaire qui est en contact intime étroit avec le bord inférieur du voile supérieur. La matrice fibreuse est obtenue par dépôt par jet d'air du super-absorbant avec de la cellulose et une fibre bi-composant sur un support non tissé.
