[Problem] To increase convenience by reducing the burden on an operator when updating or newly installing an application. [Solution] An operation terminal (2) has: a memory (13) in which a printer driver (D) is stored; a device-display box (17a) that selectably displays model-identifying information for connectable label printers (3); an application list box (17d) that selectably displays identifying information for applications that correspond to the model-identifying information selected by the user and are candidates for new installation or updating; and an "install" button (17b) that selects the selected application(s) and allows the operator to input an instruction to start a new installation of or update to said application(s). In accordance with the inputted instruction, the operation terminal executes an installation process for the one or more selected applications.
