The present invention relates to: an immunostimulating agent comprising, as the main component, a lignin glycoside which is produced as an ethanol-insoluble fraction of an extract that is produced by treating a pulverized plant tissue or organ with a cellulase alone or a combination of a cellulase and a hemicellulase and extracting a residue of a treated product with an aqueous polar solvent; and a food, a beverage, a pharmaceutical composition and a feed, each of which comprises the immunostimulating agent. La présente invention concerne : un immunostimulateur comprenant, en tant que composant principal, un glycoside de lignine produit sous la forme d'une fraction insoluble dans l'éthanol d'un extrait produit par traitement d'un tissu ou d'un organe végétal pulvérisé avec une cellulase seule ou une association d'une cellulase et d'une hémicellulase et extraction d'un résidu d'un produit traité avec un solvant polaire aqueux ; ainsi qu'un aliment, une boisson, une composition pharmaceutique et des aliments pour animaux, chacun contenant l'immunostimulateur.
