Summary:An external fixation component includes a capture member defining opposing grooves on opposite lateral sides of the capture member for capture of an element of an orthopedic fixation system. The capture member includes a base and a head coupled to the base to define a component axis that extends through the base and through the head. The base and the head are coupled for relative lateral translation in opposing directions such that the element can be captured by the capture member in either of the opposing grooves. L'invention concerne un composant de fixation externe qui comporte un organe de capture définissant des rainures opposées sur des côtés latéraux opposés de l'organe de capture pour la capture d'un élément d'un système de fixation orthopédique. L'organe de capture comporte une base et une tête accouplée à la base de manière à définir un axe de composant qui s'étend à travers la base et à travers la tête. La base et la tête sont accouplées en vue d'une translation latérale relative dans des directions opposées de telle sorte que l'élément puisse être capturé par l'organe de capture dans l'une ou l'autre des rainures opposées.
