L'invention a pour objet de maîtriser la consommation d'énergie sans sacrifier les performances dans un système informatique virtuel muni de processeurs multiples et utilisant les processeurs multiples pour faire fonctionner des ordinateurs virtuels multiples en parallèle. S'il existe des processeurs multiples qui ne sont pas attribués à un ordinateur virtuel, l'un desdits processeurs non attribués à un ordinateur virtuel est alimenté en électricité et placé en état d'attente, tandis que les processeurs restants ne sont pas alimentés en électricité.
