A method and system of verifying data stored in a database, by polling one or more computing devices. A server generates a poll object for a data item and a poll notification is transmitted to the one or more computing devices, whereupon users of the computing devices may respond to the poll notification and transmit responses. A set of response notifications is received and the server determines if the set of response notifications satisfies a quorum criterion. If the quorum criterion is satisfied, the server determines a data verification result, based on a tally criterion. L'invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant de vérifier des données enregistrées dans une base de données en appelant un ou plusieurs dispositifs informatiques. Un serveur génère un objet d'appel pour un élément de données et une notification d'appel est transmise au(x) dispositif(s) informatique(s), les utilisateurs des dispositifs informatiques pouvant ensuite répondre à la notification d'appel et transmettre des réponses. Un ensemble de notifications de réponse est reçu et le serveur détermine si l'ensemble de notifications de réponse satisfait un critère de quorum.
