Summary: | Provided is a method for efficiently manufacturing glass substrates for magnetic disks in which surface irregularity of the main surface is suppressed, and also provided is a glass substrate for a magnetic disk. When a glass substrate for a magnetic disk having a pair of main surfaces is manufactured, a glass blank is moulded by performing pressing at planar press-moulding faces of a metal mould so as to pinch molten glass or softened glass from both sides. The glass blank is then polished. During pressing of the glass blank, the temperature conditions around the pair of main surfaces of the glass blank are made uniform.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour fabriquer efficacement des substrats en verre pour des disques magnétiques, dont l'irrégularité de surface de la surface principale est supprimée, et également un substrat en verre pour un disque magnétique. Lorsqu'un substrat en verre pour un disque magnétique comportant une paire de surfaces principales est fabriqué, une ébauche en verre est moulée en appliquant une pression aux faces de moulage à la presse planes d'un moule métallique de manière à pincer le verre en fusion ou le verre ramolli à partir des deux côtés. L'ébauche en verre est ensuite polie. Pendant la pression de l'ébauche en verre, il est fait en sorte que les conditions de température autour de la paire de surfaces principales de l'ébauche en verre soient uniformes. |
