Media stream is received and shown on a display. A first gesture of a user is detected with relation to the display. A first action is identified based on the first gesture and on the context of the first gesture and responsively a first process is initiated. The first process is one of 1) showing on the display information related to the first process;2) detecting a triggering event selected from a group consisting of: that the user performs a first selection by a second gesture with relation to the display; and that the user performs a second selection by a third gesture with relation to the display; and 3) a predetermined period has lapsed since the initiating of the first process. A second process is initiated in response to detecting of the first selection and a third process is initiated in response to detecting of the second selection. Showing of the currently received media stream on the display is then resumed in response to detecting of the first selection. Un flux multimédia est reçu et affiché sur un écran. Un premier geste d'un utilisateur est détecté en relation avec l'écran. Une première action est identifiée sur la base du premier geste et du contexte du premier geste, et un premier traitement est lancé en réponse à cette action. Le premier traitement est l'une des actions suivantes: 1) la présentation, à l'écran, de données liées au premier traitement; 2) la détection d'un événement déclencheur, sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par la mise en oeuvre, par l'utilisateur, d'une première sélection à l'aide d'un deuxième geste en relation avec l'écran; et la mise en oeuvre, par l'utilisateur, d'une deuxième sélection à l'aide d'un troisième geste en relation avec l'écran; 3) l'écoulement d'une période prédéterminée depuis le lancement du premier traitement. Un deuxième traitement est lancé en réponse à la détection de la première sélection, et un troisième traitement est lancé en réponse à la détection de la deuxième sélection. La présentation, à l'écran, du flux multimédia en cours de réception est ensuite reprise en réponse à la détection de la première sélection.
