The switching regulator is configured to control the current through the SSL source following the start-up period based on a dimming level of the SSL source. La présente invention concerne un dispositif destiné à la commande d'une source d'éclairage à semi-conducteurs (SSL), comprenant un régulateur linéaire et un régulateur de commutation. Le régulateur linéaire est configuré pour commander le courant à travers la source SSL durant une période de démarrage. Le régulateur de commutation est configuré pour commander le courant à travers la source SSL après la période de démarrage en se basant sur un niveau de gradation de la source SSL.
