Summary:Disclosed is a liquid crystal display panel (100) which has: a first substrate (11), which has an active region (AA) having a pixel electrode and a TFT, and a gate driver region (GDR) provided on the outside of the active region (AA); and a second substrate (21), which is disposed to face the first substrate (11) with a liquid crystal layer (30) therebetween, and has a counter electrode (23). The counter electrode (23) faces the gate driver region (GDR) with the liquid crystal layer (30) therebetween, and an insulating resin layer (26) is formed on the region of the counter electrode (23), said region facing the gate driver region (GDR). Thus, a short-circuit failure between the driver region of the TFT substrate and the counter electrode is eliminated.
