A UI device (10) is provided with a start judgment unit (30) which comprises an object identification unit to identify whether an object has a predetermined shape from a plurality of images, and instructs the start of recognition of the object when the object is identified as having the predetermined shape; a recognition unit (40) which recognizes a movement of the object in response to the instruction to start the recognition from the start judgment unit (30); and a completion judgment unit (50) which, when no movement of the object is recognized, instructs the completion of recognition of the object to the recognition unit (40).
