It is decided whether the output signal is indicative of human activity dependent upon at least one acoustic feature of the signal spectrum and at least one spectral feature of the signal spectrum. L'invention concerne un procédé de détection de présence humaine consistant à utiliser un capteur radar pour surveiller un espace, et à recevoir un signal de sortie en provenance dudit capteur radar. Une transformée de Fourier est appliquée au signal de sortie afin de générer un spectre de signal. Il est ensuite décidé si le signal de sortie indique une activité humaine en fonction d'au moins une propriété acoustique et d'au moins une caractéristique spectrale du spectre de signal.
