Disclosed are a method for separating and filtrating crude terephthalic acid (CTA) in the preparation of refined terephthalic acid and a system for implementing the method. The method comprises: separating a CTA slurry into solid and liquid in a rotary pressure filter to obtain a wet filter cake, a filter mother liquor, a washing fluid and a dehydrated gas respectively; after separating gas and liquid, removing impurities from a part of separated filter mother liquor to meet the process requirement of the system. The system comprises the rotary pressure filter and relevant device for separating gas and liquid and removing impurities. The present invention reduces the handling capacity of the impurities removal process; reduces the cost of load, investment and energy consumption of the relevant device for removing impurities; and at the same time reduces energy consumption in the processes such as pre-cooling and post-drying, which is mostly adapted to the process for separating and filtrating CTA in the prepa
