An agglomerated particulate lignosulfonate material may be made by introducing or forming lignosulfonate microparticles in a fluidized bed agglomerator, and introducing sufficient heated gas and lignosulfonate liquid in the agglomerator to convert the microparticles to lignosulfonate granules of enlarged size. The granules may have an average size of at least 0.1 mm, and may be used to make a dry-blended cement additive or oil well cement that may be dustless, easily poured and stored, and rapidly dissolved in water. La présente invention a pour objet un matériau de lignosulfonate particulaire aggloméré qui peut être fabriqué par l'introduction ou la formation de microparticules de lignosulfonate dans un agglomérateur à lit fluidisé, et l'introduction de gaz chauffé et de lignosulfonate liquide suffisants dans l'agglomérateur pour convertir les microparticules en granules de lignosulfonate de taille agrandie. Les granules peuvent avoir une taille moyenne d'au moins 0,1 mm, et peuvent être utilisés pour fabriquer un additif de ciment mélangé à sec ou un ciment pour puits de pétrole qui peut être non pulvérulent, versé et stocké facilement, et rapidement dissous dans l'eau.
