The activation of this transmission means is carried out in response to receiving a pre-defined indication at that mobile device denoting that an emergency communication is to be forwarded to an emergency center. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'activer un moyen de transmission inclus dans un appareil mobile pour qu'il fonctionne d'une manière compatible avec au moins un protocole de communication sans fil tel que ceux des normes Bluetooth ou Wifi. L'activation de ce moyen de transmission est effectuée en réponse à la réception par cet appareil mobile d'une indication prédéfinie indiquant qu'une communication d'urgence doit être envoyée à un centre d'urgence.
