A transport stream processing apparatus includes a demodulation module, a transport stream storage module, a multip lexer, and a conditional access system interface. The demodulation module is for demodulating an input signal to generate a first transport stream. The transport stream storage module is for storing a second transport stream. The multiplexer has an output port, a first input port for receiving the first transport stream, and a second input port for receiving the second transport stream. The multiplexer selectively couples the first input port or the second input port to the output port. The conditional access system interface is coupled to the output port of the multiplexer for coupling a conditional access module. The conditional access system interface transmits a transport stream outputted from the out put port of the multiplexer to the conditional access module for signal processing when the conditional access module is coupled to the conditional access system interface. L'invention concerne un appareil de traitement de flux de transport comprenant un module de démodulation, un module de stockage de flux de transport, un multiplexeur et une interface de système d'accès conditionnel. Le module de démodulation sert à démoduler un signal d'entrée pour générer un premier flux de transport. Le module de stockage de flux de transport sert à stocker un second flux de transport. Le multiplexeur a un port de sortie, un premier port d'entrée pour recevoir le premier flux de transport, et un second port d'entrée pour recevoir le second flux de transport. Le multiplexeur couple sélectivement le premier port d'entrée ou le second port d'entrée au port de sortie. L'interface de système d'accès conditionnel est couplée au port de sortie du multiplexeur pour se coupler à un module d'accès conditionnel. L'interface de système d'accès conditionnel transmet un flux de transport sorti du port de sortie du multiplexeur au module d'accès conditionnel pour le traitement de signaux lorsque le module d'accès conditionnel est couplé à l'interface de système d'accès conditionnel.
