Disclosed is an agent for increasing the production of latex, which is characterized by comprising at least one compound selected from plant hormones and derivatives thereof as an active ingredient.  In the agent, each of the plant hormones may have an activity to enhance the formation of latex tubes.  Also disclosed is a method for enhancing the production of latex in a latex-producing plant or a method for increasing the quantity of latex collected from a latex-producing plant, each of which utilizes the agent. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de renforcer la production de latex dans une plante productrice de latex ou un procédé pour augmenter la quantité de latex récolté d'une plante productrice de latex, chacun exploitant ledit agent.
