Provided is a method for effectively selecting a processing transfer method in accordance with a state of a distributed processing system in which a plurality of processing transfer methods can be used.  The method uses: a first computer having a first processing transmission unit and a second processing transmission unit which execute a plurality of transmission methods for transferring a process to a computer so as to be processed, and a selection information storage unit which stores information used for selecting the transfer methods; and a second computer having a first processing reception unit which executes the transfer methods.  The first computer includes a transfer instruction unit which detects from the selection information storage unit, information for selecting a transfer method which can be executed by the second computer, and selects the first processing transmission unit in accordance with the detection result.  The first processing transmission unit selected by the transfer instruction unit transfers the process to the first processing reception unit of the second computer. Le procédé utilise : un premier ordinateur comportant une première unité de transmission de traitement et une seconde unité de transmission de traitement qui exécutent une pluralité de procédés de transmission pour transférer un processus à un ordinateur de manière à ce qu'il soit traité, et une unité de mémorisation d'informations de sélection qui mémorise des informations utilisées pour sélectionner les procédés de transfert ; et un second ordinateur comportant une première unité de réception de traitement qui exécute les procédés de transfert. Le premier ordinateur comprend une unité d'instruction de transfert qui détecte dans l'unité de mémorisation d'informations de sélection, des informations pour sélectionner un procédé de transfert qui peut être exécuté par le second ordinateur, et sélectionne la première unité de transmission de traitement en fonction du résultat de détection. La première unité de transmission de traitement sélectionnée par l'unité d'instruction de transfert transfère le processus à la première unité de réception de traitement du second ordinateur.
