The structure includes a plurality of semiconductor layers and an active layer disposed between the plurality of semiconductor layers. The device further includes at least one textured light emission surface arranged to extract at least some light generated within the device. L'invention concerne un dispositif électroluminescent, tel qu'une diode électroluminescente (LED), comprenant un substrat comportant un matériau à base de ZnO, et une structure disposée sur un premier côté du substrat. La structure comprend une pluralité de couches de semi-conducteurs et une couche active disposée entre la pluralité de couches de semi-conducteurs. Le dispositif comprend également au moins une surface électroluminescente texturée agencée pour extraire au moins une partie de la lumière générée à l'intérieur du dispositif.
