Provided are an ionomer resin which is well-balanced between processability in molding and mechanical properties and which can form olefin molded articles; resin compositions containing the same; and molded articles of the ionomer resin or the resin compositions.  An ionomer resin (X1) formed from (A) 100 parts by weight of an olefin polymer which comprises constituent units derived from an a-olefin having 2 to 20 carbon atoms and has a functional group (a) and (B) 0.01 to 100 parts by weight of a metal salt having two or more functional groups (b). La présente invention porte sur une résine ionomère qui possède un bon équilibre entre l'aptitude au traitement de moulage et les propriétés mécaniques et qui peut former des articles moulés d'oléfine ; sur des compositions de résine la contenant ; et sur des articles moulés de la résine ionomère ou des compositions de résine. L'invention porte sur une résine ionomère (X1) formée à partir de (A) 100 parties en poids d'un polymère d'oléfine qui comprend des unités constituantes issues d'une a-oléfine comportant de 2 à 20 atomes de carbone et un groupe fonctionnel (a) et (B) 0,01 à 100 parties en poids d'un sel de métal comportant deux groupes fonctionnels ou plus (b).
