Summary:The present invention relates to sustained release pharmaceutical compositions of ropinirole, process for preparing such compositions and method of using such compositions. More particularly, the present invention relates to a single layer sustained release pharmaceutical composition comprising ropinirole and a rate controlling polymer selected from a hydrophilic polymer or a mixture of hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymer. La présente invention porte sur des compositions pharmaceutiques à libération prolongée de ropinirole, sur une méthode de préparation de telles compositions et sur une méthode d'utilisation de telles compositions. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention porte sur une composition pharmaceutique à libération prolongée à couche unique comprenant du ropinirole et un polymère de régulation de la vitesse, choisi parmi un polymère hydrophile ou un mélange de polymère hydrophile et hydrophobe.
