Process for manufacturing a plastic fuel tank equipped with a component, by moulding a parison (16) using a mould (14) comprising two cavities and a core, said process comprising the mounting of a component (18) around a needle or an oblong object (12) attached to the core/ the displacement of the needle or oblong object so as to deform the parison and pierce an opening into it, the needle or oblong object carrying the component with it in order to position the component in the opening, and the withdrawal of the needle/oblong object, leaving the component lodged in the opening. L'invention porte sur un procédé pour fabriquer un réservoir de carburant en matière plastique équipé d'un composant, par moulage d'une paraison (16) à l'aide d'un moule (14) comprenant deux cavités et un noyau. Le procédé consiste à monter un composant (18) autour d'une aiguille ou d'un objet oblong (12) fixé au noyau, déplacer l'aiguille ou l'objet oblong de façon à déformer la paraison et à percer une ouverture dans celle-ci, l'aiguille ou l'objet oblong portant le composant avec celui-ci afin de positionner le composant dans l'ouverture, et retirer l'aiguille/l'objet oblong, en laissant le composant logé dans l'ouverture.
