Summary: | A technique of eliminating the effect of a physiological stereoscopic factor by performing an image process using projection conversion. A horopter surface image projection section (311) projects a non-stereoscopic image supplied via a signal line (129) on a cylindrical surface (horopter surface) including a horopter circle. According to horopter-circle information, the size of the horopter circle is for example determined from the radius. Moerover, the relation between both eyes is determined from the distance between the eyes. A display surface right eye projection section (316) projects on a right-eye display surface the image projected on the horopter surface. A display surface left eye projection section (317) projects on a left-eye display surface the image projected on the horopter surface. Therefore, the same retinal images are supplied to the eyes, eliminating the effect of a physiological stereoscopic factor and offering a stereoscopic depth.
