A tester for testing a device under test comprises processing sections each for giving/receiving a signal to/from the device under test, a control unit for controlling the processing sections, and an interrupt control section for notifying the control unit of interrupt requests generated by the processing sections. When receiving an interrupt request from any of the processing sections in an interrupt enabled state, the interrupt control section notifies the control unit of an interrupt and changes to an interrupt disabled state. When receiving the interrupt request from the processing section in the interrupt disabled state, the interrupt control section does not notify the control device of the interrupt. When receiving an instruction from the control unit in the interrupt disabled state, the interrupt control section changes to the interrupt enabled state. L'invention concerne un testeur conçu pour tester un dispositif soumis à essai qui comprend des sections de traitement chacune pour donner/recevoir un signal destiné au/provenant du dispositif soumis à essai, une unité de commande qui commande les sections de traitement, et une section de commande d'interruption pour aviser l'unité de commande des demandes d'interruption générées par les sections de traitement. Lors de la réception d'une demande d'interruption provenant d'une quelconque section de traitement dans un état d'interruption activé, la section de commande d'interruption avise l'unité de commande d'une interruption et passe à l'état d'interruption désactivé. Lors de la réception d'une demande d'interruption de la section de traitement à l'état d'interruption désactivé, la section de commande d'interruption n'avise pas le dispositif de commande de l'interruption. Lors de la réception d'une instruction provenant de l'unité de commande à l'état d'interruption désactivé, la section de commande d'interruption passe à l'état d'interruption activé.
