L'invention concerne un procédé visant à augmenter la résistance au moment de retournement d'une plate-forme de forage autoélévatrice, le procédé comportant l'étape consistant à fixer au moins un soutien latéral de pied à au moins un pied autoélévateur, ce dernier étant immobilisé et doté d'une structure en treillis. L'invention concerne également un système et un appareil destinés à augmenter la résistance au moment de retournement d'un élément de soutien doté d'une structure en treillis.
